WHO AM I?

MOTHER, MARKETER & GLOBETROTTER

I am a mother, a marketer and a globetrotter. I have been lucky to live in 6 different countries and countless different cities in my lifetime, from my early days growing up in Egypt, Africa and the USA, to my later years working and studying in the UK and Italy. I currently reside in the rural bliss of West Jutland, Denmark, where nature inspires creative thinking and the natural beauty of the local environment allows my daughter to grow up amongst the farms, fields and unspoiled beaches of the west coast.  

Always seeking the next adventure, I have travelled the globe.  This includes trekking to Machu Picchu, skydiving in New Zealand, exploring Monument Valley in the USA, climbing sand dunes in Namibia, skiing and snowboarding on glaciers in France and Austria, swimming with dolphins and stingrays in the Caribbean, hiking up volcanoes in South America and Italy, spotting lions, hippos, crocodiles and antelope in Africa, diving shipwrecks in Malta and Cyprus and exploring the rich marine life of the Red Sea (Egypt) and the Maldives. I have also enjoyed listening to the Buena Vista Social Club in Cuba, chasing sunsets in Australia and Malaysia and roaming ancient ruins in Greece, Italy, Spain, Hong Kong and Albania, amongst other adventures.   

 A people person by nature–with five siblings and a large, extended global family–I delight in meeting new people and collaborating with others. I have also had the opportunity to work alongside talented individuals across a range of diverse industries.  My career has been rich and varied. I thrived in the energising buzz of central London for 10 years, where I also pursued many of my career dreams, culminating in the leadership of the marketing function of a heritage brand.  Then, I headed to pastures new.  

In Denmark, after setting up my own company to serve clients in both the UK and Denmark for 9 months, I was immersed into the world of Danish design and nature-inspired thinking for one of Denmark’s most prestigious lifestyle brands. All of these twists and turns, as well as the people I have met along the way, became the individual threads which have woven together to create the rich tapestry of my life so far.  

I am a storyteller, inspired by life, language and the things I love.  I like to write and paint stories for people through words. I am passionate about what I do. I came to Denmark for love and I have created Helen Patmore Marketing because of a love for what I do.  This is the start of my next chapter – perhaps you will feature in it too?
